The core team behind Mega Visions is the same people that are responsible for SEGA Nerds, but we’ve teamed up with some of the very best talents to create Mega Visions!
Chris Powell – Editor in chief
Chris has been the editor of SEGA Nerds since it was launched more than 10 years ago and has written for other publications like Joystiq/PSP Fanboy, RETRO Magazine and Airman magazine.
Graham Cookson – Managing Editor/Design
Graham has more than 10 years of professional experience in the gaming and magazine publishing industries. He’s a co-founder of SEGA Nerds and Mega Visions, and is Mega Visions’ resident Microsoft fanboy (well, every mag needs one… don’t they?).
Marcin – Senior Editor/Community Manager
Marcin is the man behind all of our social media platforms and is one of our primary writers.
Tom Kalinske – Columnist
As the former president of SEGA of America, Tom and his team nearly toppled Nintendo in the early ’90s. They changed the landscape of the video game industry forever, and Tom will share all about his untold adventures alongside his friend Al Nilsen in their column each issue.
Al Nilsen – Columnist
Al is SEGA of America’s former marketing director and developed innovative marketing programs and strategies that played a critical role in SEGA’s rise to success. In his column with Tom Kalinske, Al will shed light on stories from his time at SEGA that have never been shared before.
Rob Duenas – Cover Artist
Rob is one of the industry’s top magazine cover artists, and his work has graced Gamefan, PLAY magazine and RETRO magazine. Rob will create an original cover for each issue that you’re sure to love.
Patrick Scott Patterson – Contributor
Known as the “Video Game Advocate,” Scott is well respected in the industry for his wealth of knowledge and history. Scott will focus on delving into SEGA’s rich arcade history.
Dan Smith – Features Writer
Dan is a terrific writer and is responsible for writing each Mega Visions retrospective.
The Requiem – Superhero/Writer
Love him or hate him, The Requiem will certainly let you know what he thinks. We’ve given him free reign in Mega Visions, so watch out!
Jim Tocchio – Photographer/Writer
Jim is another longtime SEGA Nerds member and is our primary studio photographer. He also wants to write about Valkyria Chronicles in every issue he can.
Jayson Lamp – Writer
Jayson loves racing games more than anyone we know and pours that love into every SEGA racing feature he writes for Mega Visions.
Bilal Zia – Writer
Bilal is responsible for keeping tabs on undead SEGA consoles. In addition to writing for SEGA Nerds, he is the editor of Dreamcast-Scene.
Andrew Pine – Writer
Andrew created the amazing “In Ryo’s Footsteps” documentary and brings a great insight of SEGA to the Mega Visions team.
