Persona concert will not have new game announcements
It’s probably for the best we know this now.
With the upcoming Persona concert, Atlus felt the need to step forward and warn fans what not to expect. The “Persona Super Live P-Sound Wish 2022 ~Crossing Journey~” concert happens just next month, and with it, people were hoping for Persona news. Well, it’s best you don’t keep your fingers crossed for Persona 6, because Atlus is letting you know now that it’s not happening.
What Atlus has to say
In a Twitter post by Nibellion, the user posted the news Atlus shared:
“There are no plans to announce new game titles at this live show. We aim for the best live performance that will satisfy everyone who can come and watch, and we are preparing with all our strength every day. Please look forward to it.”
In past Persona concert events, Atlus did in fact announce new titles. With their first concert in 2015, Persona 4: Dancing All Night made an appearance. 2017 saw the announcement of rhythm games Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight. Its most recent concert in 2019 highlighted the arrival of Persona 5 Strikers and Persona 5 Royal.
Persona concert holds no surprises
Naturally with these past announcements, fans held expectations that the same would happen this year. But with Atlus’ post, it’s now best to expect nothing but fantastic music. The Persona Super Live P-Sound Wish 2022 concert happens soon on October 8 and 9 in Japan.
With the game series celebrating its 25th anniversary in a year-long campaign, we’re all likely to continue receiving other Persona surprises elsewhere instead. So far, we’ve heard word of the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax remaster and the Switch, PC, and Xbox releases of Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable. In the meantime, everyone will just have to remain patient and enjoy the music.
