Tekken 8 has been officially announced

Are you ready for the next Tekken game?

It was only a matter of time, right? After teasing fans at EVO 2022, Bandai Namco confirmed during Sony’s State Of Play that, yes. Tekken 8 is in development for next-gen systems.

The showcase kicked off with the first trailer for the new fighter. It showed a fight in story mode between Jin and Kazuya running in real-time on the game’s engine. The title will run at 60 FPS and have dynamic backgrounds with unique stage effects. You can check out the reveal trailer below.

Hoh boy! Now that looks like some good Tekken 8! The fight itself seems crisp and action-packed with the graphics. The framerate also makes it look like every second and decision will count in battle. Personally, I’m curious to see what will be done story-wise focusing on Jin and Kazuya. It’s been a while since Jin has been a presence in the overarching story. So what has he been up to?

Tekken 8 is still in active development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. We will update readers in the future when a release date window is revealed. Are you excited to step back into the ring in this wild universe? Let us know in the comments below!
