Alien: Isolation animated series in the works

While we’re still waiting to see if we’ll ever get a true sequel to the Creative Assembly’s terrifying Alien: Isolation, we do know that Fox has plans to continue Amanda Ripley’s story in several forms of media, like the recently released mobile game Alien: Blackout.

We’ve learned, courtesy of the Observer, that Fox has plans for an R-rated animated Alien: Isolation series that will span seven episodes.

According to the Observer, Axis Animation will be developing the series — they’re the same studio who did the visual effects for the game — and it could be released as soon as this April.

This news is certainly great for Alien: Isolation fans, especially those of us who were underwhelmed with Alien: Blackout. Hopefully, Fox confirms the series in the coming weeks and offers some firm details!
