Atlus revamps logo as SEGA officially takes over

Today is a historic day in Atlus history as the company officially becomes apart of SEGA. To commemorate the event, Atlus has changed its logo and launched a new corporate website.

In a post on the Atlus site, the company thanked its customers and assured them the company will continue to have the flexibility and freedom to continue to be the Atlus everyone knows and loves.

In February, SEGA of Japan announced that on April 1, it will split Atlus and its parent company, Index Holdings, into two separate companies. The company’s business division, which was previously ran by Index, will now be handled by Atlus.

Reports that SEGA purchased Atlus and Index Holdings for 14 billion yen were first published in mid-September 2013. In the days that followed, Atlus President and CEO Naoto Hiraoka thanked his company’s fans for their loyal support and promised them that SEGA understands their strengths in game development.
