Blaster Master Zero 1 & 2 to Release on Xbox This Summer

Blaster Master is a series that has graced many a platform in its over 30 year long history, with the recent reboot series finding its way to PC and modern consoles alike. The one exception is Xbox, where the series never made an appearance. But with Blaster Master Zero III coming to the platform alongside PlayStation, Switch, and PC on July 29, that’s due to change.

Perhaps realizing that Xbox players would be missing out on two games worth of context, Inti Creates announced that both Blaster Master Zero and its sequel will be arriving on Xbox July 1st and July 15th respectively. Both games will receive a digital release and are up for $9.99 each, however preordering now will save you 20%.

No word on whether they’ll see a release on Game Pass, but it would certainly help get more eyes on the series in time for the third game’s release!

A description of the first game reads:

Blaster Master Zero is a 8-bit style top-down & sideview 2D action-adventure game that hearkens back to the golden age of the NES.

This game was created using the original 1988 title “Blaster Master” from Sunsoft as a base, with the addition of new areas and bosses, new gameplay elements such as extra sub-weapons, improved gameplay, a more robust scenario, refined and expanded exploration mechanics, and more.

I take immense pride in my ability to vanish on an F1 Grand Prix weekend. Very good at getting invested in dying hardware (Buying a Vita at launch was NOT a mistake). It is also my sworn duty to ensure every person I meet has played Gravity Rush. That includes you, reader, play Gravity Rush, I'll know if you haven't.
