Could Seaman be making a comeback on Nintendo platforms?

Siliconera has just learned of two newly registered Nintendo patents that could signify a rebirth of sorts for SEGA’s enigmatic Seaman.

The trademarks are for Mysterious Pet: Legend of the Fish With A Human Face and Mysterious Partner: Legend of the Fish With A Human Face in Japan. I’m not sure about you, but that certainly sounds a helluva lot like Seaman to me.

A Seaman sequel would actually make perfect sense to happen on either the Nintendo Wii U or 3DS as both system’s have unique abilities that would translate very well to the quirky game. Hopefully, if this turns out to be true, series’ creator Yoot Saito will  create another great viral website like he did with the first game.
