Crazy Taxi: City Rush drifts to iOS today

It’s been a longtime coming, but Hardlight Studios’ next mobile title Crazy Taxi: City Rush finally releases on iOS devices for free today. You can download it off the App Store here.

City Rush takes a departure from previous entries in the series and is designed entirely for mobile and tablet devices in mind. The game features touchscreen driving controls, many customizable cars, unlockable areas of the city and a new visual style, which some might be put off by.

It also includes microtransactions, ranging from $2.99 all the way to a whopping $59.99. However, if they’re implemented like previous Hardlight Studios games Sonic Dash and Sonic Jump Fever, they shouldn’t beat you over the head with them, and you should be able to enjoy the game without spending any money at all.

Crazy Taxi: City Rush will also be released on Android devices, but SEGA hasn’t specified when. We put in a word with them and will let you know the date as soon as we do.
