Persona 5 Royal will let you face off against Persona 3 and 4 protagonists

Throwdown in the Velvet Room!!!

Atlus has dropped some new details about the DLC in the long awaited Persona 5 Royal. In the final installment of “Morgana’s Reports,” the protagonists of Persona 3 and Persona 4 both make an audacious return to the Velvet Room in the form of “Challenge Battles.”

These Challenge Battles are high-level boss fights recommended for players nearing the end-game. Along with Challenge Battles, there’s new area called “My Palace.”

This new hub is more or less a museum for everything Persona 5. You can relive everything from the soundtrack, cutscenes, even archived dialogue exchanges between characters. You’ll also be able to decorate your palace any which way you want with the statues and figurines you collect on your heists.

Finally, updates on new costumes and skins! Take on the shadows in style with outfits from Persona 5: Dancing in the Starlight or take on a more simplified look with Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth chibi design.

All in all, My Palace and the Challenge Battles are shaping up to be nice additions to Persona 5 Royal. I personally would love to take on Naoya or Tatsuya in the Velvet Room, but I’m fine with butting heads with Izanagi and Thanatos in the mean time.

Persona 5 Royal will release on Oct. 31 in Japan and Spring 2020 in North America and Europe exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
