Polymega manufacturer says if you pre-ordered from Wal-Mart, you should cancel your order

Pre-orders from Polymega.com to begin in late February

If you’ve been following the Polymega for some time, you’ll likely know it’s had a rocky road up to its release. Just in last March, Playmaji — Polymega’s manufacturer — announced the system would be delayed due to supply shortages.

More recently, customers who pre-ordered units from Walmart.com have received little to no information about the status of their orders.

Late yesterday, Playmaji posted an update on social media on the status of pre-orders for customers who ordered directly from the Polymega website and Wal-mart, and … well … it’s something.

According to the update, “Walmart.com went through a personell [sic] change sometime in Q3-Q4 of last year, and since then have stopped responding to our emails and phone calls, despite repeated attempts to get in contact with them regarding fulfillment of the North American preorders. We gave our 5+ contacts at walmart.com and their distributor SOLUTIONS2GO ample to respond and rectify the situation over several attempts to contact, but they have left us with no response, despite even threats of legal action due to the significant issues this has caused us all.

“So, we are taking matters back into our own hands now. Since we have no visibility into who or how many people have ordered Polymega’s from walmart.com, please let your friends know to change their preorders over to our website and we will fulfill them directly to you as soon as possible. We will provide a precise timeline once we know how many are ordered but they will likely be fulfilled in Apr-May 2021 given the ballpark numbers we did get before Walmart went dark on us.

“We will leave the WALMART50 discount code up for 60 days to allow everyone time to receive refunds from Walmart for those who previously ordered on Polymega.com. More information on ship dates will be posted to our website in the next few days.”

So basically to boil this down:

  • If you pre-ordered previously from Polymega.com, your orders will ship beginning in late February
  • If you cancel your Walmart.com order and pre-order again through Polymega.com, your order will “likely” be fulfilled in April to May.

If you visit Polymega.com, a large announcement at the top of the homepage reads, “IMPORTANT: POLYMEGA.COM PRE-ORDERS WILL NOW SHIP 2/21. CLICK FOR MORE INFO.” But when you click the link, it directs you to a blog post from November 2020.

As of this writing, Polymega units are still available for pre-order on Walmart.com for $399. We really don’t suggest you pre-order one from there, though. Yeah, don’t do that.

Several Mega Visions staff members, myself included, have pre-ordered the Polymega, and we’ll be sure to conduct a full review once we finally receive units.
