PSO2 will “end up on all platforms” in the future

Earlier this week, Microsoft announced that Phantasy Star Online 2 was (finally) headed to the west. After years of begging and pleading, PSO fans finally got what they asked for.

Based on the presentation, however, PSO2 seemed to be exclusive to Xbox One and PC. In a recent interview with Giant Bombcast, Xbox chief Phil Spencer said PSO2 would come to other consoles eventually.

“Yes, it will end up on all platforms…The point was to have SEGA on our stage since it’s been a while.”

It’s uncertain when that will be exactly, but my hunch is a year from its release date on Xbox One.

Phantasy Star Online 2 will arrive on Xbox One and PC in spring 2020.
