SEGA AGES Shinobi, Fantasy Zone coming onto Switch this month

SEGA has announced today that the next round of SEGA AGES releases will be coming our way in a couple weeks when Shinobi and Fantasy Zone are released on the Nintendo Switch eShop.

Both games will release on Jan. 23 in the Americas and Europe for $7.99, with similar pricing in Europe.

Shinobi will have an added “AGES” mode that gives players a melee button to attack enemies up close, along with a reverse time feature and stage select and difficulty options. Lastly, the game’s protagonist, Musashi, receives extra health and damage.

Fantasy Zone has some new features, as well, to include a Coin Stock assist feature, a Time Attack mode, new bosses and the option to play as Upa-Upa, who’s Opa-Opa’s brother.

The SEGA AGES series delivers classic games from SEGA’s library and is developed by Japanese developer M2, which previously worked on the SEGA 3D Classics and the SEGA Genesis Mini.
