So SEGA’s supposed to announce the Spectrum soon

Do you remember back in mid-April when the mysterious image above spread across the Internet? Not much was, or is even still, known about the SEGA Spectrum, aside from the Japanese text at the top of the image that translates to “A new world of entertainment” and a date of June 6, 2013, at the bottom.

Could this be a new console? A new compilation series spanning across the entire SEGA library? A new digital service?

Who knows, but according to the date at the bottom of the image, it looks like we may soon find out really soon, like tomorrow soon. Could this be SEGA’s big announcement during E3 that so many of us who have been incredibly underwhelmed with their showing thus far have been hoping for? All we have right now are lots of questions and very, very little answers.

Let’s hope by this time tomorrow we know what the Spectrum is all about.
