Streets of Rage 4 gets all-star cast of composers, including Yuzo Koshiro

Streets of Rage fans have been impatiently waiting for news of whether legendary composer Yuzo Koshiro would be lending his talents for the upcoming Streets of Rage 4.

I mean, we all pretty much knew it was happening, but publisher DotEmu and developer Lizardcube have been pretty much radio silent on the situation … until today, that is!

Dotemu posted the above video on social media this morning, with confirmation that Koshiro will be involved, as well as Motohiro Kawashima, who he collaborated with on Streets of Rage 2 and 3.

Also joining the team is Yoko Shimomura, (Street Fighter II and Final Fight) Hideki Naganuma (Jet Set Radio) and Keiji Yamagishi (Ninja Gaiden). This really is an all-star cast, and I think it’s safe to say on behalf of the entire Streets of Rage community that this is absolutely fantastic news!

Be sure to watch the above video as Koshiro speaks about his excitement to collaborate with his fellow composers and his thought process behind his approach to Streets of Rage 4’s musical style.

Streets of Rage 4 is being developed by Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games, and published by Dotemu for yet-to-be-announced platforms.
