Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown is getting a CD soundtrack

Virtua Fighter fans have been celebrating for two weeks straight! Right at the end of May, SEGA announced a new(ish) entry in the fighting franchise called Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown. It featured overhauled graphics, BGM, user interface, and more. Well, don’t put down your cocktails and party hats just yet, folks.

According to Game Watch, SEGA is releasing a CD soundtrack for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown in Japan. This soundtrack will be a two disc album, with 29 tracks on the first disc and 12 tracks on the second. The first CD contains music curated from Virtua Fighter 5. This includes unique songs for each fighter.

On the second disc, fans get a taste of the original music from the first game. If you’re in the middle of beating up Akira with Sarah Bryant, go put that controller down. A “Legendary Pack” was simultaneously released with Ultimate Showdown, and it includes those original songs too!

If you’re looking to add this soundtrack to your vibrant CD collection, don’t fret, westerners. Amazon Japan currently has the Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown soundtrack up for pre-order. Luckily, they also ship internationally. The CD is going for 3,300 yen, or $30.00.
